San Ramon Avenue and the roundabout at Maple Avenue will be closed beginning Nov. 21 due to ongoing construction for the Central Utility Plant Replacement (CUPR) Project.

In an email sent from Facilities Management to students on Tuesday afternoon, Associate Vice President Tinnah Medina said that pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be impacted in those areas.

The Maple Avenue roundabout, located beside University High School, will be closed to all traffic through Jan. 15, 2023.

For those who utilize the V-Line bus service, the pick-up and drop-off area will be temporarily relocated to the FAX bus stop on Shaw and Maple avenues.

The sidewalk on Maple Avenue to the Joyal Administration Building will remain open on the east side of the roundabout. A pedestrian pathway between the Music Building and Joyal Administration Building will be available

Alternative ADA parking stalls will be available in lot P4.

San Ramon Road, located between the Science I and Science II buildings, will be closed through Feb. 28, 2023.

The sidewalk south of Science II, and adjacent to San Ramon Avenue, will remain open for pedestrians.

Alternative ADA parking stalls will be available in lots P6, P15 and P17.

“We apologize for these temporary inconveniences as the contractor is trying to get as much work done as possible between now and the start of the Spring 2023 semester,” Medina said in the email.

Updates on ADA pedestrian paths are available on the interactive map on the Facilities Management website, or on the Fresno State Mobile App.
