Student struck by golf cart while crossing Barstow

A Fresno State student suffered minor injuries Tuesday after he was struck by a golf cart while crossing Barstow Avenue from a campus parking lot, university police said.

The collision happened around 2 p.m. as the student crossed Barstow Avenue at a crosswalk from Fresno State Parking Lot P20, just east of Cedar Avenue, spokeswoman Amy Luna said.

University police responded in minutes and checked the condition of the victim as a fire engine and an ambulance arrived at the scene.

The victim refused treatment, Luna said.
