Phishing scam attacks campus email accounts

Fresno State email accounts have recently come under phishing scam attacks. The spoof emails appear to be sent from a campus computer support staff and ask for personally identifying information such as a Fresno State user ID and password.

Legitimate emails from Fresno State’s Information Technology Services will never ask for personally identifying information, and ITS warns against responding to spam emails.

ITS recommends deleting malicious emails when they are received. The campus Help Desk is able to answer questions regarding email phishing attempts.
