Class of 2008 Commencement set for May 17

The 97th Commencement at California State University, Fresno will begin at 10 a.m. May 17 at the Save Mart Center on campus.

The schedule of 2008 Commencement Week activities, consisting of 20 events, is available at

Activities begin May 16 with college and school convocations and department and program celebrations throughout the day, concluding at 7:30 p.m. with the Graduate Degree Hooding Ceremony. That event includes awarding of doctoral degree in educational leadership, offered jointly with the University of California, at the Save Mart Center.

Seven events follow University Commencement on May 17, ending at 6 p.m. with the Latino Commencement Celebration at the Save Mart Center.

Senior portrait photo sessions will be held at the Smittcamp Alumni House from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. May 14 and 15. Graduates may book a sitting with Ultimate Exposures Photography at its Web site (See link below).
