Those who thought that the vote of America’s youth did not matter were proven wrong on Super Tuesday.

SUPER TUESDAY — I WAKE UP.

In going to bed Monday night and preparing for yesterday, I’d hoped to be as on top of the results as the pundits, the bloggers, the news networks.

With 24 states participating, the results of Super Tuesday play a major part in who gets the presidential nomination. McCain pulled in front and now has a commanding lead over second-place candidate Mitt Romney. The race is closer on the Democratic side, but Hillary Clinton is currently the front-runner.

California voters flocked to polling places Tuesday to cast their ballots on seven initiatives and to elect a presidential candidate to be officially nominated by their party.

The auditorium was abuzz at Fresno State’s Student Recreation Center on Friday afternoon in anticipation of the arrival of some famous guests for a rally supporting presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
