‘Dogs down Bakersfield despite wet weather
Rain was the only thing that stopped the Bulldog pitching staff, as it allowed one run in two games to win the weekend series against Cal State Bakersfield. Fresno State climbed back climbed back to one game above .500 with the wins.
The Battle of the 99
The Fresno State baseball team is set to avenge an early season loss to CSU Bakersfield in this weekend’s three-game series that begins today at Beiden Field. The Roadrunners (7-9) shut out the ‘Dogs (8-9), 4-0 back on Feb. 22 and are currently 8-8 all time against the team whose program began in 2009.
Wise hits two home runs as Dogs split series
The Fresno State baseball team took the first two games of its four-game series with the Dons before dropping the final two. Bulldogs now sit at 7-9 on the season and 13 of their next 14 game are at home.
Cardinal too much for Bulldogs
The Fresno State Diamond ‘Dogs took the reigns of the opening game of a three-game series on Friday and did something no other team has done this season — take down the top-ranked Stanford Cardinal — by a score of 7-4. The ‘Dogs, however, were then subsequently beaten back by the Cardinal, losing the final two games of the series, 16-0 on Saturday and 9-2 on Sunday.
Diamond ‘Dogs host No. 1 Stanford
The Fresno State baseball team will host top-ranked Stanford in a three-game series beginning today and ending Sunday. This is the first time the ‘Dogs have hosted a No. 1 seed in nine years, when then-No. 1 Rice made the trip in April 2003.

he 2012 Fresno State baseball season will open tonight at 6 p.m. when the Bulldogs host Butler. The Diamond ‘Dogs will look to start the season with a win as they go for their sixth consecutive WAC title in seven years, as well as their sixth tournament title in the same span.

For Jordan Brink, Chris Mariscal, Jordan Luplow, Shota Runge and Taylor Tempel, competing on the diamond together is nothing new. All five spent a majority of their years playing for the same teams while growing up in Fresno and Clovis.
