Sights of the Senior Art Exhibit at the Conley Art Gallery

More than two dozen Fresno State seniors had their work featured in the Senior Art Exhibit at the Conley Art Gallery on campus. Two jurors from outside the Fresno State community selected 40 works that they felt best represented the caliber of art at Fresno State. The show featured an array of work, including paintings, photographs, sculptures, screen prints and projections.

Some people called Vanessa Addison-Wilson’s artwork “enlightening” at her solo exhibit Thursday night at the Fresno State Conley Art Gallery. Fresno State student Tara Wren enjoyed it because it provides viewers with a different point of view regarding African-American culture.

Four nationally renowned artists featured at Conley Art Gallery

Iranian-born artist Hadieh Shafie carefully hand paints thousands of strips of paper. She uses various multi-colored strips and assembles them into groups to form a kaleidoscope of colors in a tightly rolled scroll.
