Former Fresno State Professor and 18th Poet Laureate of the United States Philip Levine recites poetry at the Tower Theater. Former Fresno State Professor Peter Everwine also recited poetry. The Benjamin Boone Quartet performed several original Jazz pieces.

Dozens of students from the Midnight Dance Fusion class at Fresno State surprised a large audience in the Free Speech Area with a flash mob around noon on Wednesday. The dance group’s goal is to provide a fun way to exercise and socialize at the Fresno State Recreation Center. Collegian photographer Dalton Runberg caught the event on campus. This video features the end of the flash mob.

Fresno State Women’s Basketball Team took down the Idaho Vandals, 80-55, in the semi-final round of the 2012 WAC Championship Tournament in Las Vegas. Rosie Moult had 15 points and Ki-Ki Moore had 19. ‘Dogs play La. Tech, Saturday Mar. 10, in the championship.

The second Fresno Food Expo was held at the Convention Center March 7-8. Fresno State students held cooking demonstrations and a food marketing competition, as well as showcased student-made products.
