Warped Tour hits Fresno

The annual Warped Tour music festival shredded the ears of Fresnans in the Save Mart Center parking lot.  Less Than Jake, The Dirty Heads, P.O.S. and Meg & Dia were just a few of the bands that played through the sweltering heat on Wednesday. Timeout Recycled

May 7, 2009

A group of Marketing 188 students began building the world’s largest recycled college mascot this semester. The students learned to weld from 83-year-old local artist Chris M. Sorenson. The mascot will be filled with crushed aluminum cans collected by three local schools. Donations can also be made at the Smittcamp Alumni House or at this Saturday’s baseball game. The mascot will be placed in front of the Peters Business Building after the game. Read more

Women’s basketball halted in game one

The women’s basketball team was shut down by the California Golden Bears in their first game of the NCAA tournament Sat., Mar. 22. The team won the WAC this year, making this their second trip to the NCAA.

Amerasia week

The Japanese Student Association participated in Amerasia Week, which featured traditional and contemporary Asian arts.

Mens hoops vs. Boise State

February 10, 2009

The men’s basketball team defeated Boise State 88-82 on Monday, Feb. 10 at the Save Mart Center.
