Is the Republican Party a racist political party? I said no; some of our readers said yes. Here are some of your responses, with some extra commentary by me.

The GOP is not racist
“The issue of race and American politics,” Glenn Thrush and Donovan Slack wrote in a recent Politico article, “never far beneath the surface during Barack Obama’s historic 2008 campaign, is making a loud, overt and surprisingly early appearance in the 2012 presidential race.” What evidence do Thrush and Slack present to make their case?
Most partisan era ever?
This week, Chris Cillizza, a Washington Post reporter who runs a popular political blog, “The Fix,” argued, along with Aaron Blake, that Barack Obama is the most partisan president ever.

Response to Rick Perry blog
As this publication’s token Christian conservative, I guess I should respond to Sam Cosby’s post decrying Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry’s candidacy and an advertisement he put out.
Sam is incorrect when he calls Perry’s campaign commercial a “blunder.” Perry must win the Republican primary, and the vast majority of Republicans are against making gay marriage [...]
Vaya con dios, Coach Hill
By now, everyone knows Pat Hill, the erstwhile football coach of Fresno State, was fired by the school he has coached for 15 years. He was, as he put it in his closing press conference, a “dinosaur.”
