The annual Sierra Cup Classic, held at Bulldog Stadium, hosted 27 high school marching bands from across California. El Diamante and Homestead high schools tied for first, the first time in the competition’s history that two bands have tied for first place.
Fresno lost to the NAIA powerhouse Fresno Pacific Wednesday night in an exhibition match with set scores of 25 – 17, 25 – 22, and 25 – 18. Their record worsens to 1 – 4 and their next match is in Green Bay Wisconsin.
Women’s soccer put up a fight but lost to UC Davis on Sunday.
