MITT ROMNEY IS MORMON. I open with his religion instead of introducing him as a candidate because it is Romney himself who, yesterday, decided that it would be a good idea to address the already controversial issue of religion. He gave a speech that addressed it directly — “Faith in America,” which was meant to restore potential voters’ faith in him as a man who can separate church and state.

Students take action for relief

Rachael Buckley (front) and Lauren Kwiatkowski of Kappa Kappa Gamma took a post at the northeastern corner of Shaw and Cedar avenues on Monday morning to collect money that will be given to the American Red Cross.

Two college students took their post on the northeast corner of Shaw and Cedar avenues early Monday morning with the same goal –– to raise funds for the victims of the southern California wildfires.
