Bulldog TV, Fresno State’s live streaming video service, will broadcast Saturday’s 9:30 a.m. commencement live over the internet. The 98th commencement will include captioning. Also streamed live will be one Friday event , the Graduate Hooding Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. at the Save Mart Center. The International Graduation Celebration, held at 1 p.m. Saturday, will be broadcast live as well. This ceremony takes place in the Music Building Concert Hall. The feeds will be available via iTunes U by the end of May.

Students staying in the Fresno area over the summer may find an escape from the heat and a change of view in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Opportunities range from backcountry fishing to ranger-led nature walks. The Veritas Forum, in its fifth year at Fresno State, is an annual event which deals with topics of religious and moral questions. This year’s forum, on the topic, “Ignorance Isn’t Bliss,” hosted two experts in the field of religious studies, Mary Poplin, Ph.D., and Stephen Prothero, Ph.D. They discussed and debated the role of education about religion in high schools and universities.
