Despite the high temperature that engulfed Fresno over the weekend, Bulldog spirit was as vibrant as ever in the 39th celebration of Vintage Days. Each spring Vintage Days promotes campus tradition and invites members of the community to the Fresno State campus to participate in weekend-long activities complete with family, friends, food and fun.

Gangs, drugs, vandalism and robbery are some of the unwanted activities in the community around Fresno State. However, Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is determined to make a stand for revitalization.

On Saturday, “Teen Mom” Reality TV stars Tyler Baltierra, 21, and Catelynn Lowell, 20, spoke at Fresno State’s Satellite Student Union to promote open adoption.  They shared their own story of teenage pregnancy and adoption.

Although many students do not realize this, they can directly impact the decisions made by the California State University (CSU) board of trustees.  However, in order to influence these decisions and bring change to our campus, students must understand the process of change, and that is just what Fresno State 101 offered.
