The Wathen Tennis Center will be busy today through Sunday when the Fresno State men’s tennis team hosts the Bulldog Classic.

Hoping to start off the season strong, the players will see how their early season practices fair when they face Sacramento State, San Diego, and Cal Poly.

With his stage name of Malcolm Sosa, in his worn plaid shirt and matted hair, he has the look of an artist that has been performing for over three years.

Sosa describes his music as more folksy than the indie sound of Rademacher, the band he performs with.

Air quality, heat concern students

Although temperatures have noticeably dropped recently in the Valley, most students cannot forget the hot temperatures they faced at the beginning of the semester.

As the fall 2007 semester began, students were met with temperatures looming from the low 100 degrees to the high 90s.

 
 

Teacher ‘Jumpstarts’ to $5,000 scholarship award

Fremont Elementary School fourth grade students benefit from their teacher, Ashley Gomes, spending many hours with instructors and preschool students during her time with the Jumpstart program on campus.

Ashley Gomes was guaranteed as least $1,000 in scholarship money as a result of being an American Eagle Outfitters Spirit Award finalist. The only question was: Could she get more?
