With two wins against UC Davis and Cal Poly, Charles Irie helped lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 day for the men's tennis team.

The Fresno State men’s tennis team

defeated two opponents in a dual

match on Sunday. The Bulldogs began the day by sweeping UC

Davis in doubles play, each Fresno State tandem winning 8-5. Five

Bulldogs singles players also won their respective matches, making

the game’s overall score 6-1. In the second match, Fresno State

defeated the Cal Poly Mustangs 7-0 with only one doubles squad

losing their match.

“Going on today, we needed to play very well to get two victories,”

head coach Jay Udwadia said in a press release. “With really only

seven players healthy, I know it was going to be tough. But the guys

played solid all the way through each match.”
