Free Poetry Jam

The first Poetry Jam of the school year, “Fall into Expressions,” is on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the University Center’s Coffeehouse and Pub.

This year’s Poetry Jam marks the event’s 5th annual anniversary. The jams will be held on the first Wednesday of every month in Fall 2005 from 7-9 p.m.

The event is held in open microphone format and welcomes beginning and experienced poets, singers, musicians and dancers. It also provides a place for diverse cultures to come together and be expressed.

The event is sponsored by the Women’s Resource Center, the Women’s Alliance, the Poetry Jam Club, Associated Students and the Student Union Diversity Awareness Grant.
