GAME PREVIEW By EDDIE HUGHES
Bulldogs
Point Guard
The Bulldogs didn’t get much production from the point against Rice,
with Kevin Bell scoring four points and Dominique White going scoreless.
Bell did have three steals.
Wing
Ja’Vance Coleman was uncharacteristically held to less than 10 points
against the Owls, finishing with eight in just 17 minutes. Dwight O’Neil
scored nine off the bench.
Wing
The Bulldogs will need Donovan Morris to improve on his 2 of 7 showing
Thursday if they’re going to beat Tulsa.
Power Forward
Dreike Bouldin’s ferocious rebounding streak came to a stop as he
finished with just one board in 12 minutes of action. Hector Hernandez
had seven points and four rebounds, but was just 1 of 5 on 3-pointers.
Center
Mustafa Al-Sayyad was one of the few Bulldogs on his game, leading the
team with 15 points and eight rebounds. Jack Marlow played just one minute,
making 1 of 2 free throws. The Bulldogs were 13 of 21 from the free-throw
line in the game.
Intangibles
Fresno State needs to gain a split in this week’s road games to
stay in good position in the WAC race.
Tulsa
Point Guard
Freshman Deion James has 22 assists and 27 turnovers on the season. Redshirt
freshman Brett McDade scored 17 points in Thursday’s loss to Nevada.

Shooting Guard
Seneca Collins will have a tough assignment defensively, likely drawing
a match-up with either Coleman or Morris. Collins averaged 8.2 points
per game going into Thursday’s loss.
Edge: Bulldogs
Small Forward
If the Bulldogs want to beat Tulsa, slowing Jarius Glenn is a good way
to start. He’s the team’s leading scorer at about 16 points
per game.
Edge: Hurricane
Power Forward
Guilherme Teichmann and Oswaldo Gonzalez help give Tulsa enough size to
bang inside with the Bulldogs. Both stand 6-foot-9. Gonzalez scored 12
points against the Wolf Pack.
Edge: Bulldogs
Center
The Hurricane’s second best weapon is Anthony Price, who led the
team with 18 points on Thursday. Price is 6-foot-8 and will give Al-Sayyad
a good test.
Intangibles
Tulsa has not won a WAC game yet this season and will be hunting for a
victory.
Edge: Even
