Online Rates

The Collegian Online targets not only students, faculty and staff within the Fresno State community but also the unlimited potential of the World Wide Web. It receives approximately 1 million hits and 27,000 visitors daily (Source: Systems Group, Information Technology Services, California State University, Fresno).
Online Advertising Policies and Deadlines
Online advertisements are subject to the same policies as print advertising. This applies to deadlines, payment, billing, design services and late charges. Links in online ads that direct the viewer to other sites are also subject to The Collegian policies and guidelines with respect to content. The Collegian reserves the right to refuse links originating from an online advertisement.

Space and Artwork Deadline
The Collegian Online is every day. The online ad deadline is 3 p.m. seven (7) days before the insertion date. The artwork deadline is also seven (7) days prior. The Collegian offers design services for online ads, as well as print ads. Please contact the Financial Manager at (559) 278-5735 for more details. If artwork is not received by the deadline, the advertisement may not run as scheduled. Additionally, The Collegian does not guarantee that .swf (Shockwave Flash) files will display or work correctly on all Web browsers.

Ad Placement

Advertising space is available on every page of The Collegian Online at the top (rectangle), in the navigation bar located on the right of the page (wide skyscraper) and at the bottom of the page (leaderboard). Please note that if there is more than one ad for a specific size/space, the ads will randomly rotate as the pages are refreshed.

Advertising Rates and Contracts
Cost to run an online ad is based on duration, as follows: weekly or monthly increments with discounts (see below). Placement may be subject to availability.

RECTANGLE AD (300 x 250 pixels)
National, out of area – $350 (monthly), $175 (weekly)
Local, regional in area – $300 (monthly), $150 (weekly)
Faculty / Staff / Students – $250 (monthly), $100 (weekly)

WIDE SKYSCRAPER AD (160 x 600 pixels)
National, out of area – $300 (monthly), $150 (weekly)
Local, regional in area – $250 (monthly), $125 (weekly)
Faculty / Staff / Students – $225 (monthly), $100 (weekly)

LEADERBOARD AD (728 x 90 pixels)
National, out of area – $250 (monthly), $100 (weekly)
Local, regional in area – $225 (monthly), $75 (weekly)
Faculty / Staff / Students – $200 (monthly), $50 (weekly)

Art Specifications
If ads contain animation, please submit them in gif or jpg formats (limit 25 KB).
Please provide instructions regarding the code for linking through the ad. The Collegian reserves the right to adjust the size of an ad if it does not match the width and height requirements allowed.
