Tickets go on sale Friday for Sept. 14 Ramirez championship bout

Tickets for the Jose Ramirez versus Antonio Orozco World Boxing Council championship fight on Sept. 14 at the Save Mart Center go on sale Friday.

The Save Mart Center made the announcement on Wednesday. Prices for tickets currently are $25, $35, $60, $90, and $150. According to the release, prices are subject to change. Tickets can be purchased from Ticket Master online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. They also will be available at the Save Mart Center box office.

Ramirez was originally scheduled to defend his world super lightweight title against Danny O’Connor in July. The fight was cancelled after O’Connor was hospitalized for severe dehydration before the official weigh-in.

According to the release, the main event and a to-be-announced feature bout will also be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes beginning at 7 p.m. on Sept. 14. The entire undercard of bouts is scheduled to be aired on ESPN+ beginning at 4:30 p.m.

“We have an undefeated fighter in front of us, and I will get myself properly prepared to put on a great show,” Ramirez commented. “It’s a honor to fight in Fresno, and we owe it to the fans after what happened last time. We’re going to make the show bigger and better.”
