Crime Alert – Off Campus

The following is a crime alert from the University Police Department, issued on the evening of Feb. 15:

TYPE OF CRIME
Strong Arm Robbery

Sunday, February 12, 2012
Approximately 1:30 AM

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Location:
On Cedar in front of Bulldog Village Apartments near Taco Bell

Brief Description of the Incident
An incident was reported to Fresno PD that 2 male were walking on Cedar heading towards Taco Bell from Bulldog Lane when a white Chevy Malibu approached them.  The vehicle then parked in the Taco Bell parking lot and 4 black males 20-25 years old got out of the vehicle.  The 4 subjects then beat up the 2 male victims and took a wallet and cell phone.

Be aware of your surroundings
Do not walk alone, and stay in well lit areas
Report any suspicious activity to police
Utilize the University Police Department?s Safety Escort program
