The Broncos stampeded their way down the field the entire game,
putting up a total of 57 points against the Bulldogs’ 7.

Fresno State welcomed No. 5 Boise State to Bulldog Stadium in front of a national television audience.

On Boise State’s first possession, senior quarterback Kellen Moore led the Broncos down the field for a the first touchdown of the game with his four-yard touchdown strike to freshman wide receiver Matt Miller, to give the Broncos the 7-0 lead.

With a short field, Moore drove the Broncos down the field for the Dan Goodale 32-yard field goal to give Boise State the 10-0 lead.

Senior Devon Wylie coughs up the ball on a sweep off right tackle to give the Broncos the ball back. On the next play, junior wide receiver Mitch Burroughs got the ball on a reverse and took it to the house to give Boise State the 16-0 lead. The Broncos missed the extra point to keep the score 16-0.

Moore led another stampede down the field as he hit sophomore wide receiver Geraldo Boldewijn for the 18-yard back shoulder touchdown pass for his second touchdown pass of the game. The score gave the Broncos the 23-0 lead. Moore finished the game with 254 yards through the air on three touchdown passes.

With six minutes left in the first half, Moore orchestrated another Broncos’ drive ending the drive with a D.J. Harper six-yard touchdown run to give Boise State the 30-0 lead. The senior finished the game with two touchdowns on the ground.

In the second half, Boise State continued the onslaught with senior running back Doug Martin finding the seam for the one-yard touchdown run to give Boise State the 43-0 lead. Martin had 16 carries on 94 yards with one touchdown.

Later in the quarter, Harper scored again this time from one-yard out to give the Broncos the 50-0 lead.

The ‘Dogs did not come out of the game empty handed with Wylie making up for his fumble earlier in the game with the biggest play of the game for Bulldogs with 79-yard punt return touchdown. It was Wylie’s third punt return touchdown of the season.

That would be the only bright spot in the game as the Broncos won in dominating fashion 57-7. This nonconference game against the Broncos could go down as the worst in Bulldog Stadium history.

Now, the ‘Dogs can’t dwell on this defeat with another big game next week against Western Athletic Conference member Utah State coming to town for homecoming next Saturday.
