Statement from Cesar Sanchez: ASI budget
Dear Campus Community:
Once your budget request is submitted to the ASI office, the Vice President of Finance will review the request and present it to the Finance Committee for consideration and feedback. Although not required, all entities submitting budget requests have the opportunity to present their request to the Finance Committee and the Vice President of Finance and provide an opportunity for both to ask questions and provide feedback. If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, you must schedule a Budget Hearing by February 18, 2011 with the ASI office. These hearings will take place during Finance Committee meetings – see the schedule in the ASI office for dates and additional information.
All budget requests will be evaluated on a comprehensive level; however, two criteria for all budget requests must be met in order for them to be considered. All budget requests must uphold, expand, and/or execute the mission of ASI, and must be within the approved scope of uses for ASI funds. Please contact the Vice President of Finance to receive the “ASI Mission” and “Title V” documents.
Please direct all other questions regarding the budget call process to the ASI office at 559-278-2656. I will also available to discuss the requirements and application process – just call or stop by room 317 in the USU (University Student Union) to schedule an appointment.
I look forward to reviewing your budget request and working with you in the future!
Cesar X. Sanchez
