‘Dogs heading to MWC
Fresno State became the sixth school to change conference affiliations this summer after the university accepted an invitation to join the Mountain West Conference as its newest member.
The move to the MWC isn’t expected to be completed soon, but Fresno State president John Welty said that he hopes to see Fresno State in the MWC in two years.
The departure from the Western Athletic Conference comes after 18 years of membership.
