Radio’s ‘Maddy Forum’ considers Valley challenges
“The Maddy Forum,” a public affairs radio program produced by the Maddy Institute at California State University, Fresno, examines some of the San Joaquin Valley’s biggest challenges in its next three broadcasts.
“The Maddy Forum” airs at 1 p.m. Saturday and is repeated at 11 a.m. Sundays on 90.7, KFSR, the campus radio station. Maddy Institute executive director Mark Keppler is the moderator.
On the schedule:
* Feb. 27-28 – “Valley Blueprint: To Sprawl or Not to Sprawl – That is the Question” with John Wright, former Clovis planning director, and Barbara Steck, deputy director of the Fresno County Council of Governments.
* March 6-7 – “Improving Education in the Valley: Our Unique Challenges” with businessman and community leader Dick Johanson, a former Fresno Unified School District trustee, and Dr. Larry Powell, Fresno County schools superintendent.
