Planned outages for various IT services during January
ITS Systems staff will be working during the first two weeks of January to make changes to server and storage environments. These changes will improve the performance of Zimbra and a number of other services. ITS staff will also install software patches on Zimbra to address problems that users have been experiencing with the e-mail system.
Systems and services that will be affected by this work include Zimbra, Blackboard, student e-mail, campus Web sites and pages, listserv and others. Work that requires significant service outages is scheduled to occur outside normal business hours. The most disruptive aspects of this maintenance have been scheduled as early in the new year as possible.
ITS staff will release notifications of further outages on Blackboard as soon as that information is available. ITS staff warn that some changes may occur with little advance notice.
Questions regarding these outages may be directed to ITS at
jimm@csufresno.edu.
