Mathews was out most of the last two seasons, who filled in Miller and Harding. Granted Mathews is a great back, but these other guys have filled the void when he was gone. hey last week Miller got 55 yards, imagine if he got lots of carries, hed probably had a 100 yard game. remember harding carried the team the last couple of years. This weekend is about them. Talk about the guys who bust their asses off at practice and have made so many contributions to this team in their 5 years. GET OFF MATHEWS' JOCK! HE'S NOT THE ONLY PLAYER ON THIS TEAM! Your position match up "analysis" is crap. Its based on personal opinion and there is no evidence that you have ever looked at these teams stats. Do you really think that just because Mathews isn't playing that LA Tech really has an advantage in the running game? Last year, Mathews was out for a majority of the season. Miller and Harding took up the load and each had great years. It sounds like you have no confidence in anyone running the ball who doesnt wear 21 in red. Don't make a judgement on the defense and use last weeks game as to how the defense will play. The pistol is tough to defend, especially since they have 2 damn good running backs and a quarterback who can run the ball too. We aren't designed to stop the spread offense. La Tech runs a pro-style game. That is our biggest strength on defense. Chris Carter is the best defensive end in the WAC and it sounds like you have no confidence in him or those front 7 guys. Oh, just because Livas ran back a punt return last year, doesn't mean it's going to happen again.
