Stress-free zone
Upon entrance into The Spectrum Salon and Day Spa, located on Herndon and West, the environment is filled with relaxing colors, soft music, and fragrant scents. The hostesses then greet clients and ask whether they will have lemon-infused water, tea, or coffee.
Fresno State alumna Tiffany Horn said her first visit was amazing, “I found out about this spa from a friend and when I finally decided to go, I was warmly greeted, offered something to drink and was provided with a robe and slippers for my massage; my experience was amazing,” Horn said.
Not only does Horn say the environment is soothing, she also described the facility as immaculate. “Everything in the spa was clean and beautifully decorated,” Horn said.
The Spectrum Salon and Day Spa was founded in 1977 by Pamela Nelson who had years of previous experience in the beauty business industry. Nelson has owned several salons throughout Fresno including: Pam’s Salon of Beauty in Kingsburg, Sunshine Factory Salon in Fresno, The Spectrum Salon on Bullard, The Spectrum II on West and most recently The Spectrum Salon and Day Spa.
The Spa offers a wide range of services that include: massages, facials, microzones, body care, waxing, nails, pedicures, airbrush tanning, make-up, hair care, lash extension and eyebrow care.
Horn suggests getting one of the spa packages they offer, “When I go, I usually will get the Stress Less Package that includes the Signature 60-minute massage and the European facial,” Horn said.
The other spa packages that can be chosen are the “Express Relaxation Package” that includes the spa manicure and spa pedicure and the “Heavenly Package” that includes the signature manicure and signature pedicure.
Aside from offering beauty and relaxing services, The Spectrum also sales some of the products that are used during a visit. Included are skin perfection products, cosmetics, hair care products and hair tools.
Horn recommends that anyone and everyone visit The Spectrum. “I went one time and I keep going back. This is one of the most relaxing experiences Fresno has to offer,” Horn said.

Nice post, that salon sounds great… I think I will take the “stress less” package, I wonder if you can also get the BIO treatment done on your face?
