Homecoming game will salute Navy’s birthday with flyover
California State University, Fresno will commemorate the Navy’s 234th Birthday with a flyover by Strike Fighter Squadron 122 from Naval Air Station Lemoore at the Bulldogs’ homecoming game.
The flyover will immediately follow the national anthem at about 6:52 p.m.
Watching the flyover from the playing field will be Capt. James Knapp, the Lemoore base commander.
The homecoming game’s festivities also will feature Top Dog Trent Dilfer and other outstanding alumni for 2009.
Dilfer retired from playing last year and now is an ESPN football analyst. He will be accompanied by University President John D. Welty on the field during half-time along with Sidney B. Cox, who was presented the Arthur Safstrom Service Award at the Top Dog Gala.
The Bulldog Marching Band alumni will join the 2009-10 band in the stands and during the football half-time show.
