Fresno State men’s golfer Bhavik Patel advanced to the Final Four of the U.S Amateur Championship in Tulsa, Okla. before being out-dueled by Korean Byeong-Hun An.

Patel was locked in a battle with An before winning holes 11 and 12 en route to one-hole lead with six holes to play. Unfortunately Patel couldn’t hold the lead as An went on to win holes 13 through 16, all in a row, to end Patels magical run three holes up and only two holes left to play.

The iTunes generation opened the floodgates for genre-bending artists to make their way into mainstream media consciousness, leaving genre-based radio in a state of flux. In return, the line between hip-hop and rock has been blurred beyond the point of recognition.

Week one of each semester is the honeymoon period. The schedule you have committed to is full of promise and excitement, just like any new endeavor.

My honeymoon is short lived.

The Fresno State women’s soccer team continue their slump, losing the 2009 home opener 2-0 to the Oregon Ducks.

Whenever I am flipping through channels, I always see advertisements or references to the AMC hit show “Mad Men.” It always intrigued me, but it seemed like I never had the time to tune in. So I resolved to watch season three of “Mad Men.” And I am impressed.

From freshman to leaders, Brianna Clarke and Baylee Platt are back for round two after leading the volleyball team last season in kills and points.

The preseason workouts are nearly over and it’s only one day away from game time for the Fresno State volleyball team.

The Bulldogs will compete against three tough contenders in the two-day Fresno State Invitational Tournament at Save Mart Center this weekend.
