One-finger salute

Culled each week from discussions in The Collegian newsroom.

Thumbs up
Fresno State softball team

Unlike the spankin’ the baseball team received from Loyola, Bulldog softball dominated their series against the San Jose State Spartans this past weekend. They’ve now won six home games in a row and are 3-0 in WAC play.

Thumbs down
Animal cruelty

It’s heartbreaking on any level, but we were particularly disgusted by the latest example of cruelty given by a sick moron that reportedly tied a noose around a dog’s neck and left her hanging off a tree. The dog is now fortunately in the much better hands of the Madera County Animal Shelter.

Thumbs down
Lack of fruit variety in food court

Apple or banana, that’s as far as your options go when it comes to fruit in the Food Court. While the effort to provide fresh fruit is appreciated, in the midst of Spring, apples and bananas just don’t cut it. It’s springtime people, give us a damn honeydew! And if you step it up to strawberries, grapes and oranges, maybe people will quit complaining about the unhealthy food options on campus.
