Men’s hoops last stand
4:20 p.m. – Five minutes left, we’re only down by 14. Oops, 17!
4:23 p.m. – It’s now 76-61 Utah State. The conversation turns to fundamental problems with Steve Cleveland’s offense. “There’s no movement!” exclaims Jefferson Beavers, the faculty advisor.
4:25 p.m. – Game goes to commercial, no update. Conversation turns scandalous, no update.
4:27 p.m. – Staff is chugging free energy drinks. Energy drink will not be named, we need ad money! Utah State is now up 80-64. Utah State fans are doing Napoleon Dynamite impersonations.
4:29 p.m. – It is announced that this is the official end of the Ray Lopes and Dwight O’Neil era. Somewhere, a cat gets hit by a car.
4:30 p.m. – Alley oop! O’Neil to Paul George! cuts the lead to 15.
4:31 p.m. – The game is in the last minute. It is suggested The Collegian hosts an official roast of the basketball team. Unfortunately, Utah state has already done so.
4:42 p.m. – Ah, the last of a painful era. Hope you enjoyed this as much as we did! Ha ha, see you next year.
