I have to give a shoutout to my multimedia staff, because it’s no fun being lumped under “Collegian Staff.”

Christa Williams, Web master, is directly responsible for the CCMA Best Online Interactivity award and the ACP Best Newspaper Web site award.

Joel Ede, my assistant editor, pulled in the CCMA Best Use of Multimedia award almost single-handedly.

Videographer Carl Merriam and newscast reporter Whitney Vasquez, along with reporter Victoria Jones, won the ACP Best Interactive Element for their video “Mother Goose in California.”

I think the recognition of state- and nation-wide journalism organizations makes for an interesting contrast against negative comments posted here.

Congrats Collegian. Don’t worry what roving idiots say. Its alright to be proud of your accomplishments, and be a faithful news reporting group by informing the public about it.

good stuff. Shows that attending classes taught by professors rather than student teachers at places like UCB and UCLA makes for a better quality education—though maybe not as prolific as the name-brand California state universities, we do have a notable list of educators here at CSU Fresno.
