Amanda Valdez, 18, a theater arts major, browses through the newspaper rack and observes some of the new features the library has to offer, while other students stand in line waiting to order at Starbucks during the busy lunch rush.

The library, which was closed Monday due to power outages, was fully operational on Tuesday, marking a shift to its regular hours. The library will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 11 p.m, 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 11 p.m. Sunday.
