Softball goes 3-1 over weekend
Over the weekend, the No. 12 Bulldog softball team opened its season in the Cathedral City Kick-off Tournament, going 3-1.
Fresno State’s ace Morgan Melloh went 2-0 in the circle and pitched two complete game shutouts.
In the tournament, the Bulldogs had five players bat .300 or better to begin the season.
Their next game will be against UOP in a double-header on Feb. 14 in Stockton.
The home opener will be on Feb. 26 against Utah Valley.
