Women beat Bearkats

The Fresno State women’s basketball team beat the Sam Houston State Bearkats on Saturday 76-63 at the Hoops For The Cure Tournament at Southern Methodist.

Sophomore Marnique Arnold notched a double-double for the Bulldogs with a career-high 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Four other Bulldogs scored in double-digits against the Bearkats.

Fresno State trailed 34-30 at the half, but outscored Sam Houston State 46-29 in the second half to pull ahead and seal the victory.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Thursday night at the Save Mart Center against TCU.
