THE ONE-FINGER SALUTE
Thumbs up to Thanksgiving leftovers. One of our favorite aspects of Thanksgiving is eating turkey for two weeks straight afterward. We love the opportunity it affords for creativity.
Thumbs down to the Fresno State Bulldog football team for their embarrassing loss to the Boise State Broncos on Friday night. While we’re disappointed in the loss, we’re even more disappointed that the team had us convinced for half the game that it might not happen.
Thumbs down to the fog. Some of us insist that we enjoy the challenge of trying to navigate our ways to school in the dense, Valley fog, but we realize how dangerous it can be.
Thumbs up to only having one more full week of school left in the semester. Sure, the thought of finishing up all our major projects in the next three weeks is a little bit terrifying, but we’re ready to move on from our courses this semester and, for some of us, with the rest of our lives.
Thumbs up to Christmas lights. Even for all the energy they waste, we just can’t keep our hearts from melting a little bit when we see a tastefully-decorated house.
“The One-Finger Salute” is culled each week from discussions in The Collegian newsroom.
