Yeah I thought journalism students are supposed to read the paper!

Nice illustrations though! I would like to see the mayoral candidates in front of a city seal than an American flag though.

This is exactly why The Collegian shouldn't make endorsements.

Apparently someone forgot to tell the Collegian staff that the state is bankrupt. Do we really believe that the fiscal crisis can simply be wished away or ignored? That there are no hard choices to be made? We are faced with the prospect of severe cuts in EXISTING services and big increases in taxes ( Don't believe the "just on the rich rhetoric either. If your vehicle registration fees go up, water and garbage bill increases, student fees go upetc..., then YOUR taxes have gone up as well). Now we want to add additional services and benefits on top of the $22 billion (and increasing rapidly) shortfall we already have? A child wants what they want and when they want it because they don't understand yet that life is filled with choices and priorities, many of them difficult. Just because something would be nice or fair does not mean they can have it. Perhaps it is time for all of us to grow up.

talk about inconsistent! Yes on everything besides the one that could actually bring some needed industry and jobs to Fresno.

I know most college students have dreams of leaving Fresno, but let's be patient adults here. Big projects take a long time. Starting them later won't make them happen faster.
