Account established to help students in fire losses

A bank account has been established to help three senior students at California State University, Fresno whose three-bedroom apartment near campus was heavily damaged by fire Tuesday evening.

The apartment occupants, Molly Kaiser, Lindsay Thomas and Theresa Warwick, lost schoolwork, furniture, clothing, computers and personal photos and papers in the blaze at Bulldog Village, west of campus on Cedar Ave.

The fire’s cause was under investigation by the Fresno Fire Department. Firefighters confined the flames to one apartment. Smoke damaged another, but there were no injuries.

Bulldog Village has relocated the three students to a different unit.

To help the fire victims, donations may be made through any Bank of America branch in their names.
