Homecoming: Idaho Vandals vs. Fresno State Bulldogs

Final Recap
The Bulldogs struggled to finish the game, but beat the Vandals 45-32. Leading the team tonight was junior tailback Lonyae Miller with 181 yards, including a 90-yard run in the second quarter.
The Bulldogs were leading 42-17 midway through the third quarter, but allowed Idaho to score 15 unanswered points.
Kicker Kevin Goessling 1-for-1 on the night with a 46-yard field goal.
Halftime Update
The Bulldog offense started the game strong with a 11-play, 58-yard drive that ended with a 1-yard Tom Brandstater rush. The Bulldogs led 7-3 at the end of the first quarter.
On the Bulldogs first drive of the second quarter, tailback Anthony Harding fumbled on the Vandals’ 2-yard line into the end zone and receiver Seyi Ajirotutu recovered for the Bulldogs second score.
The fumble recovery was Ajirotutu’s first touchdown of his career.
Pregame Update
It is homecoming week at Fresno State and the Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss last week against Hawaii.
The stadium is sparsely filled tonight and only approximately 30,000 fans are expected for tonight’s contest. The Bulldogs are 0-2 at home this season.
Idaho comes in with a 1-5 record and will be looking for it’s first win over a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team tonight.
The Vandals will be lead by their sophomore tailback Deonte Jackson, who ran for over 100 yards against Fresno State last season.
Tailback Ryan Mathews is back in the lineup tonight after sitting out against Hawaii to nurse a knee injury sustained at UCLA.
The Bulldogs are favored by 33 points tonight.
