I may be on edge when they're down, but I enjoy a good football game, especially when it's close like the recent ones have been. Watching the DOGS on tv was full on excitement and sadness--all through the game we were down, came back to score and down again. We made it to OT and then...I'd really like to have Coach Hill and his crew bring some new & exciting plays to the game plan. We've got to have different "tricks" in our bag to make things happen. I know Coach Hill likes to keep to the game plan, but if we're able to have those "secret" plays we'd able to catch our opponent off guard. We've got to bring it on for the Idaho game & for all our games! Come on DOGS! It's time to re-focus and win all games. We all know each and every player and coach has access to each team we will be playing, the way they play/work. We know those other teams/coaches are reviewing things that the DOGS have done, strong/weakness. JUST DO IT!! Ugh! I put the blame solely on Pat Hill. It is his job to get his players ready to play and year after year we continually fail to inferior teams. My message was directed more to all the people I have heard so far around campus criticize Goessling. Getting everyone's spirits down does no bit of good and trashing the players doesn't help either. When everyone starts saying that Goessling can't make a field goal, it makes it that much harder for him to make field goals because he starts to think about it. Like you said, he needs to clear his head, and the only way he can do that is by his team and fans standing behind him and showing their support. Then he will start making them with confidence. I'd like to see him drill a 58-yarder earlier in the game this Saturday and not miss another field goal the rest of the season. He's definately capable of doing it. In a game where a team has six turnovers, they ought to be lucky that they even had a chance to win. It was a heartbreaking loss for all Bulldogs fans, but I'm sure that there is a lot to be learned from this loss that will be applied in practice this week. Before everyone starts to give up on the Dogs this season, a 10-2 record is still possible and is a very respectable record. We still have a chance to win the WAC this season, let's not count ourselves out too early. Let's finish the season strong and finish off the season upsetting Boise State!
