Fresno State student wins $100,000 with lottery ticket

Josesph Aguilar won $100,000 after purchasing a Stars & Stripes Scratchers lottery ticket on Monday.

Aguilar, a computer engineering major, bought the ticket for $5 at a gas station in Madera after overpaying the clerk for gas. “I didn’t even play until I got home,” Aguilar explained to California Lottery officials. “It was weird how it felt. I double-checked and it took two days to finally settle in.”

Aguilar called the experience “unbelievable” and plans to spend the money on finishing his education.
