Bulldogs fall to Badgers 13-10
By Jimmy Graben | September 14, 2008
In a game that saw the Fresno State Bulldogs miss several opportunities, the Wisconsin Badgers were able to hang on for a close 13-10 victory Saturday night at Bulldog Stadium.
With less than two minutes remaining in the game, Fresno State’s offense could not convert on third down and had to punt the ball.
Wisconsin was able to run out the clock and clinch the victory.
Fresno State’s lone touchdown came in the third quarter on a 47-yard completion from Tom Brandstater to Devon Wylie.
Freshman kicker Kevin Goessling struggled in his first start at Bulldog Stadium.
He was 1-for-4 on field goals and missed a 35-yard attempt in the fourth quarter.
With the loss, the Bulldogs will most likely drop out of both the Associated Press and USA Today Top 25 Rankings.
Fresno State will now head back on the road to take on the Toledo Rockets Saturday, Sept. 20 in Ohio.

three missed field goals is all i have to say.
Indeed, 3 missed field goals, one from 32 or so yards. Luckkily we didnt drop out of the rankings.
Still No. 25 in the AP.
Tough game, but just like most Fresno losses the last few years, a loss that should not have happenned. Fresno beat themselves.
