Campus personnel conserve energy

Fresno State Plant Operations asks campus personnel to turn off lights, copy machines, coffee pots, and other unnecessary equipment
during the “hot” hours of air conditioning usage today from 3-5 p.m.

Offices operating on air conditioning timers will not be affected, said Dick Smith, Director of Utility Management.

Fresno State has reduced its energy consumption 8-10 percent the past five years, even though the campus has renovated and added several new buildings. The university plans to continue conserving energy, Smith said.
