Thumbs up to the Fresno State baseball team, who swept the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs this weekend. The win moves the Bulldogs — our Bulldogs — into first place among WAC teams.

Thumbs down to radio stations overplaying popular songs. When the listening public can hear a given song once every 30 minutes (sometimes on the same station!), it has overstayed its welcome. Flo Rida, we’re looking at you.

Thumbs up to Bromakin Wheelchairs and their line of products, including the Pedalofit. We realize this is probably the first you’ve heard of the product — we hadn’t heard of it either until very recently. The device is a clamp that attaches to a wheelchair and effectively transforms it into a tricycle, allowing the user to engage in healthy, cycling exercise. While it may sound like a cruel joke, the attachments are designed to be pedaled, depending on model, with either the arms or the legs. It’s a clever idea — we wish we’d thought of it.

Thumbs up to the Fresno State men’s club volleyball team, who played in the National Campus Championship Series (NCCS) Tournament in Dallas this weekend. The team came in third place, after being eliminated by the team representing the University of Illinois, who ultimately went on to compete in the tournament’s final game.

Thumbs down to 93-degree weather in April. It’s not time yet!
