Forty-three years in the making
Fresno State reaches NCAA tournament for the first time in school history facing Baylor in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Baylor downs Dogs
The Fresno State women’s basketball team was unable to recover from early jitters Saturday afternoon in the NCAA tournament against No. 3 seeded Baylor, losing 88-67.
Bulldog Beat brings the noise to Albuquerque
The Bulldog Beat listened silently, some of the members bobbing their heads to the Baylor band’s pep song. The tune ended and the Bulldog Beat members gave a quick smirk as they raised their instruments.
Then they fired right back at Baylor.
Cost-cutting commuters
With gas prices at an all-time high, driving to school is more expensive than ever. For members of the Fresno State community who live near or far from campus, the Commuter Services Program provides alternative types of transportation.
The University Police Department operates the Commuter Services Program. Public Information Officer Amy Armstrong said that there are currently around 1,000 students involved in Commuter Services.
Panel talks Iraq five years later
In light of last week’s five-year anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, a panel of Fresno State professors discussed the topic “Five Years of War In Iraq,” focusing on what we have learned in these five years.
The Philosophy Club, the Anthropology Club, the Political Science Club and the Ethics Center sponsored the March 12 event. [...]
Fresno State to pay legal fees
Fresno State is going to have to pay an additional $2.5 million in the Stacy Johnson-Klein case, a judge ruled Monday.
The money pays for Johnson-Klein’s attorney fees, and comes on top of the $6.6 million awarded to Johnson-Klein in February. The attorneys had requested $2.9 million, but the judge reduced that amount.
March 26, 2008: ‘Dogs first NCAA Tournament appearance
The women’s basketball team played against Baylor March 22 in their only NCAA Tournament game in school history.
