It seems like Fresno State’s game plan is to push.

San Jose’s Natalie White just picked up a technical. San Jose is playing with a lot of intensity right now. They’re hitting jumpers early, and 23 is picking the defense apart.

San Jose is pushing the ball and quickening the pace of the game. This is preventing the ‘Dogs from pressuring the ball in the backcourt.

So far the game is pretty even, if San Jose can get their defense in line they might be able to put together a run.

San Jose State’s bench makes more bench than any I’ve ever seen. Everybody from players to coaches is screaming at the on-court players. It’s actually making this game pretty emotional for the Spartans.

10:29 on the clock and the game is tied. That is kind of a big surprise, honestly.

Honestly, San Jose doesn’t seem to be that bad of a team. At least not 1-15 bad.

Tierre is doing the Tierre thing again and taking over the game. Once Tierre decides to get involved, a close game becomes well … not a close game

EWWW FS’s Anderson just left her ankles on the other side of the court after a nasty crossover from Myosha Barnes … UGLY! Yao vs. Marbury ugly. Her center of gravity is somewhere in the parking lot. She might want to go get that during half time.

This ref is going to get T’d in a second, coach DeCosta has been in the ear of Ortega all night

If the ‘Dogs are going to leave White open, she’s going to hit … I’m pretty sure she hasn’t missed a three yet … speaking of which there goes another one.

The ‘Dogs now have a 6 point lead over the Spartans, with 3:30 left I was sure it would be at least 15 by now.

FS has established that they’re a much better rebounding team. There have been at least 6 offensive rebounds in this game.

Now I see why SJ has its record. There is absolutely no motion on this team once they get sweating a little bit.

The coach is noticeably giving up on her squad. No more talking. Nevermind, more talking.

1st half:
The Spartans started off really hot in the first half, able to get some really good ball movement and ball handling. They gave Fresno problems early by pushing the ball up with their speed, something this team lacks for the most part. The ‘Dogs also let SJ’s White hit way too many threes, she went 4-5 from beyond the arc. In the end points in the paint made a big difference as Wilson, Henry and Munro were successful inside. Fresno State opened up a 10 point lead toward the end of the half as a result of great rebounding. The tale of this game: SJ 12 rebounds, FS 22.

Oh yeah, Barnes crossover was just plain ugly, if I hadn’t emphasized that enough. Anderson’s shoes are still in the hardwood, oooohhhh that was ugly.

2nd half:
The team has been robbing Wilson of assists all game, it just happened again, I won’t name any names

These coaching styles are extremely contrasting, Wiggins is extremely controlled and the only one talking. DeCosta’s bench is chaos, every coach is yelling. I’m sitting right next to the SJ bench and I don’t know what they want their girls to do. “PREGAME!, PREGAME!”

SJ’s White is everywhere right now. She’s driving, shooting and doing whatever she needs to do to score.

SJ closed the game back up like a surgeon; great defense has them within 3.

The ‘Dogs seem to be tiring from the pace of the game.

Coming back from full time out, a hint of worry seems to be in their eyes.

3 pointers by SJ make it even with 10:58 remaining.

Uh oh, I feel a momentum shift, FS gets a block on a lay-up in transition.

FS is not running toy or Emma at the point, they are using a big lineup and it isn’t working.

Even with SJ up, Wiggins looks pretty relaxed. Hmmm

That’s probably because Wilson and Ross just scored back-to-back baskets.

Wilson was wide open in the corner for like five minutes, literally, no not literally, but Amundsen made the shaky cross court pass that finally got it to Wilson for the three.

Munro just hit a really big shot that opened the game up to 11 points. Another basket by Wilson follows the possession after. The ‘Dogs are looking like they are ready to put away SJ for the game with 4:00 left to go in play.

SERIOUSLY. This whole game has been big timeout. The teams have spent as much time on the sidelines as they have the court. No more.

74-58 at this point. I knew that shot by Hayley was going to be huge. Now the ‘Dogs are just picking apart the defense.

White has been silent in the last couple of minutes.

2:03 seconds left and a 20-point lead. Time to kill the clock!!!!
