The One-Finger Salute
Thumbs up to the Bulldog football team for their victory against the New Mexico State Aggies in their final game of the regular season, maintaining their undefeated record against the opponents.
Thumbs down to the swarm of pre-finals projects and essays that are all inevitably due either this week or next. We’d like to see more of our own big assignments due in the middle of the semester, if only to avoid this, ironically referred to as “the most wonderful time of the year.”
Thumbs up to KJWL 99.3, who has been playing Christmas music since the day after Thanksgiving and will continue to play it through Christmas Day. We don’t deny our tendency toward cynicism, but, aforementioned song aside, a little Christmas music is all it takes to warm our cantankerous little hearts.
