    Dating sucks. People need to get over this old-fashioned notion of the dude paying for a date. Chicks need to quit holding out for the guy who will spend his fortune to take her out to Macaroni Grill on Saturday night. Taking advantage of someone because he/she assumes you will eventually have sex with her/him makes you a lowlife. So, dating does suck. Just go to a club, buy drinks and see what happens. Romantic ideals suck. So does marriage. It sucks.

    quite being cheap. it has nothing to do with sex. guys should always pay. period.

    if you go out with a girl two times, pay for everything each time and she doesn’t at least offer to pay for the third, then you don’t want to date her anyway.

    thinking back to a recent opinion article, that would make her a bitch.

    And if you can’t afford to take a girl on two decent dates without having a heart attack over the price, then you shouldn’t be dating.

    grow up or go back to your nintendo wii.

    In this ‘campus speaks video’ people have given different and interesting opinions on dating. From my point of view, it is not mandatory that the guy will pay for the first date. It may be split. It depends on both of them how they want to share???? If the boy can afford then he should pay otherwise it would be better if they share among them. Some cases, the girl may be interested to pay for the other half. It depends upon them.

    The first date is the memorable one. It completely depends upon both of them whether they want to split the bill or the guy want to pay for the first date. There is no certain rule for this. One thing I would like to say that I like the video representation, the way you have represented the discussion here. Some of them in favor of the guy should pay for the first date and some are against this opinion.

    I am all with JD on this topic. The times are different and the view shouldn’t be like 50 years ago.
